Sophomore Year Projects

Sophomore Graphic Design

Below is a compilation of projects I completed my sophomore year with brief explanations of each.
Travel Poster
This was one of our first projects. We were instructed to create a travel poster for some location, so my group and I decided to use an image my family took when we traveled to the Grand Tetons as our poster.
Personal Logo
I wanted something that had to deal with nature, so I honed in on the mountain range imagery and the symmetry between the M and W of my initials. Although this logo is aesthetically pleasing, it is too horizontal and needs and update.
Club Logo
Our class was commissioned to create a logo for one of the on campus clubs. My group was assigned the the tech club, and our logo tried to emphasize technology while using their club initials. We chose the gear as an icon for technology, and as the C in TC for tech club. Although our group preferred the orange and grey color combination, the club deferred to the red because of its relation to Brophy.
Passion Project
This project we could do whatever we wanted to. My friends and I decided to create a Brophy logo for every decade, with an overemphasis on the styles, imagery, and culture of that decade. Here are the few decades I designed.

The first represents the 20s and 30s, its use of green and black is an allusion to Brophy's original school colors, while the geometry of the design evokes a "Gatsby-an" aesthetic.

The second represents the period of time in the 40s when Brophy was closed.

Finally, the last design depicts the chapel in a minimalist style, and supposed to represent a future Brophy, probably existing in some post materialist world where grandeur and detail in design is looked down upon.
